CONNIE RAE DeGROOT, age 70, of Worthington, died Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at the Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington. She was born August 27, 1948, in Worthington, to Harm and Alice (O'Neil) DeGroot. Connie graduated from Worthington High School.

She worked at Campbell's Soup Co. before working at CCSI in Worthington. Connie later began working at Newport Labs before retiring. She was a member of American Lutheran Church in Worthington. She enjoyed baking, traveling to the casino, volunteering at the Meadows and spending time with her family.

Connie is survived by her eight siblings, Denny DeGroot, Worthington; Pat (Mick) Eggers, Worthington; Steve (Diane) DeGroot, Worthington; Pam (Jim) Olson, Onamia; Greg (Cindy) DeGroot, Worthington; Vicki (Dean) Selberg, Worthington; Jeff (Barb) DeGroot, Worthington; and Deb Boltjes (special friend, Randy Harms) Worthington; many nieces & nephews; and a special cousin, Connie (Verlyn) Peterson, Sioux Falls, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister-in-law, Rafella DeGroot; and an infant niece, Michelle Eggers.

A time of fellowship will be from 4-8 pm Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. Funeral will be 10 am Saturday at the Dingmann Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Gary Anderson. Burial will be in the Worthington Cemetery.
