CRISTINA LEE WAGNER. age 69, of Worthington, died Thursday, August 1, 2019, Crossroads Care Center in Worthington. She was born August 22, 1949, in Toledo, OH, to Charles W. and Helen A. (Mauter) Snell. She graduated from Bedford High School in Temperance, MI; and later attended SMSU in Jackson.
Cristina married Gary Lynn Wagner on June 22, 1981, in Pittsburgh, KS. The couple lived in Pittsburgh before moving to South Sioux City, NE. They later moved to an acreage northeast of Reading. In 1994, the family moved to Worthington. Cristina worked at Campbell's Soup Company, in Worthington, before working in the kitchen at HyVee. She retired in 2003.
She was a member and a Sunday School Teacher at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in Worthington; and a lifetime member of the NRA. Cristina was one of the first women to receive her permit to carry in Minnesota. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, Titanic memorabilia and especially her grandchildren.
Cristina is survived by her husband, Gary Lynn Wagner, Worthington; two children, Kevin (fiancée, Christina Mitts) Seres, Lakefield; and Gary Wayne (Marlas) Wagner, Jackson; ten grandchildren, Sean, Katerena & Tiffany Seres; Jace Gaul, Raymond Guinsinger, Lisha (Mike) Smith; and Charles, Keyira, Alexandria & Brandon Wagner; a great-grandchild, Ace Smith; a sister, Shirley (Russ) Cook, Toledo, OH; and a sister-in-law, Carol Snell, Walbridge, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant grandson; and a brother, Charles Snell.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5 pm, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. A celebration of life and sharing of memories will be at 5 pm Sunday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. A private family burial will be at a later date at Ft. Snelling Cemetery in Minneapolis.
