CURTIS VERNON KASS, age 55, of Worthington, died Thursday, January 31, 2008, at his home. He was born on December 27, 1952, in Adrian, to parents, Vernon and Grace (Visker) Kass. He graduated from Worthington High School in 1970. In the summer of 1970, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and stationed in California. Curtis was honorably discharged in 1986. While living in California he worked for the Chevron Company in IT support. In 1995 he moved back to Worthington. Curtis was united in marriage to Sherry Reller and they later divorced. Curtis was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Worthington. Curtis is survived by his mother, Grace Kass, Sioux Falls, SD; three children, Jaime Kass, St. Paul, MN; Katina (Mike) Lawrence, Concord, CA; Michael (Amy) Kass, Dixon, CA; two grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, special friend, June Carlson, Jackson, MN; one brother, Dennis (Ginny) Kass, Mankato, MN; three sisters, Linda (Vern) Wagner, Eagan, MN; Lori (Denton) Combs, Montrose, South Dakota; and Gayle (John) Martens, Spicer, MN. He was preceded in death by his father Vernon, in 1991 and one brother, Randy Kass in 2001. Blessed be His memory. ters84, of Worthington, died Friday, September 8, 2006, at the Minnesota Veterans Home, in Luverne. He was born October 7, 1921, near Mille Lacs Lake, to Olaus and Emelia (Olson) Oddson. He attended school in the Mille Lacs Lake area and also attended accounting school, in Mankato. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII. Lyal married Bessie Ann Day on September 10, 1945, in Lakefield. He worked as an accountant in Madison, SD and Worthington. Lyal lived in Iowa for a time and South Dakota and Minnesota as well. He was a life member of the Sioux Falls Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed fishing. Lyal is survived by his wife, Bessie Oddson, Worthington; three sons and daughters-in-law, Lloyd & Jan Oddson, Sioux Falls, SD; Kerry & Crystal Oddson, Worthington; and Shane Oddson, Fulda; four daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth & Al Geslin, Eufaula, AL; Robin & Clayton Wick, Adrian; Linda Balster, Clarkfield; and LuCinda & Rick Kluever, Iowa; fifteen grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Alton Oddson, Cottonwood, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Mary Gullickson; a great grandson; a great granddaughter; and a sister, Marcella Iverson. Blessed Be His Memory.
