DALE JOHN BUSS, age 69, of Adrian, died Sunday, December 6, 2020, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. He was born June 17, 1951, in Adrian, to Anthony and Grace (Boltjes) Buss. He attended school in Adrian and Ellsworth.

Dale married Gayle Metz on June 23, 1972, at St. Adrian Catholic Church. The couple lived in Adrian all of their married lives. Dale worked various jobs in the area including, Don's Radio and TV, and Schutz Hardware, Adrian Hardware, the Arnold Memorial Hospital & Nursing Home and the cable co. that brought cable TV to Adrian.

He was a retired member of the Adrian Volunteer Fire Department and Adrian Ambulance. He enjoyed tinkering on anything electronic.

Dale is survived by his wife, Gayle Buss, Adrian; two children, Angelic (Mike Rodenberg) Buss, Adrian; and Damian (Stephanie) Buss, Litchfield; seven grandchildren, Katelyn and Vivian Rodenberg; and Evee, Lincoln, Eli, Lucas and Eden Buss; a sister, Louella Engelson, Harris, IA; a sister-in-law, Sandra Buss, Sioux Falls, SD; and his eight in-laws, Mary Carol Lursen, Adrian; Mylo (Elsie) Metz, Sioux Falls; Jo Willemstein, Tulsa, OK; Donna (Robert) Bartholomaus, Clarion, IA; Patricia (Hubert) Pass, Worthington; Kay Jean (Larry) Dammer, Cannon Falls; Michael (Beverly) Metz, Adrian; and Patrick (Coletta) Metz, Adrian.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his two brothers, Daryel and David Buss; three brothers-in-law, Donald Lursen, Gary Hokeness and Duane Ruser; and two sisters-in-law, Delores Buss and Dolores Ruser.

A time of fellowship will be Thursday, December 17th from 3-7pm at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Adrian. A memorial service will be 11 am Friday December 18th at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Adrian, officiated by Monsignor Richard Colletti. Burial of cremains will be in the St. Adrian Cemetery.
