Dale G. McMahon , age 83, of Chisago City, Minnesota, died Sunday, June 13, 2021 following complications from surgery.  Dale was born May 14, 1938 in New Ulm, Minnesota, the son of George and Delphine (Kreger) McMahon.

Dale graduated from Wells High School.  He married Marilyn Mueller on May 16, 1959 in Fairmont, MN.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree and Master's degree from Mankato State College.

Dale and his father ran the McMahon's Styles for Dads and Lads clothing store in Wells and Jackson, Minnesota.  Dale worked as a radio announcer at KBEW and KATE.  He went on to teach communication and speech in Albert Lea High School, Worthington High School and later various community colleges, knowing he was growing the next generation of broadcasters.  He also worked for 50 years in the admissions department at the Minnesota State Fair, where he loved directing people to where they needed to be.

Dale was a former president of the Jaycees in Wells, Minnesota, a member of the Drum and Bugle Corps in Wells, Minnesota and a judge at speech competitions.  Above all, he was an amazing husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  He loved treating each of his grandchildren to breakfast whenever he had an opportunity, times that were cherished by each of them.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marilyn in 2014; brother, Rene; brothers-in-law George Mueller and Eugene Mueller;  granddaughter Theresa Dominic.  He will be deeply missed by his sons, Terry (Korine) McMahon, Tim (Jolaine) McMahon, Todd (Rhonda) McMahon; grandchildren, Mollie (Brian) McNally, Hannah (Jacob) Gerten, Amanda McMahon, Daniel (Melissa) McMahon, Christopher McMahon, Kailee McMahon (Johannes Lumpe), Keenan McMahon; great grandchildren, Linnea McNally, Mara McNally, Otto Gerten; siblings, Brian (Betsy) McMahon, Laura McMahon; sisters-in-law, Judy McMahon and Sandi Mueller; numerous nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.

A Memorial Service will take place at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Worthington, on July 31st at 11:00 AM with a Visitation one hour prior. Lunch and fellowship will follow the service.
