DALE PICK, age 59, of Luverne, died Tuesday, December 31, 2013, on 110th Avenue in rural Rock County as a result of a truck accident.  He was born, March 3, 1954, in Adrian, to Raphael and Margaret (Gleis) Pick.  He grew up on a farm in rural Rock County.  He went to elementary school in Kenneth and later attended and graduated from Magnolia High School in 1972.
Dale was united in marriage to Lori Arends on July 16, 1976, at the First Baptist Church in rural George, Iowa.   After their marriage, the couple lived in Kenneth until 1985.  The family moved to a farm north of Kenneth where they lived until 1995.  Dale stopped farming and they moved to Luverne and he began working for Hills Stainless Steel.  He started working for CHS Eastern Farmers Co-op in 2006 and has been working there until his death.
He was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Luverne. He enjoyed his work and talking to his customers he served.  He also enjoyed his Saturday nights out with his family and friends.  He was looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild in May of 2014.
Dale is survived by his wife, Lori Pick, Luverne; three children, Scott (Lyndsay) Pick, North Mankato; Bradley Pick, Brookings, SD; Teresa (Jason) Kittles, Sioux Falls, SD; three siblings, Dennis (Deanna) Pick, Kenneth; Linda (Gerald) Schmuck, Gulfport, MS; Diane (Dennis) Strassburg, Magnolia; sister-in-law, Margaret Pick, Luverne; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jerry.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Friday, with parish prayers at  7:30 pm  at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Luverne; visitation will also be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Saturday at St. Catherine Catholic Church, in Luverne,  officiated by Fr. Thomas Jennings. Burial will be in the St. Catherine Catholic Cemetery in Luverne.
