DANIEL WILLIAM SCHWEBACH, age 65, of Adrian, died Thursday, September 30, 2010, at his home. He was born November 2, 1944, in Primghar, IA, to John Peter and Leona (Allard) Schwebach. Dan attended school in rural areas including West Lyon, IA. He grew up in the Larchwood, IA, area. Dan married Marie Brown on October 17, 1964, in Sioux Falls, SD. After their marriage, the couple lived west of Larchwood, IA. In 1968, they moved to Adrian. Dan was engaged in farming & trucking. He was a member of St. Adrian Catholic Church; a dedicated member of the Granite Threshermens Association of Granite , IA, for many years. Dan enjoyed tractor pulls and being involved with the GTA. He liked to restore old tractors for a hobby. He built a replica of the town of Granite for their celebration. Dan also enjoyed working in his shop where he refinished furniture and made small benches & swings for dolls. Grateful for having shared his life, are his daughter, Karla Schwebach, Adrian; grandson, Anthony Schwebach, Adrian; brother, Pete (Emmy) Schwebach, Guilford, IN; a sister, Shirley (Ray) Wieneke, Lismore; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a special friend, Anna Van Batavia, Luverne. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Patrick, in 1980; brother, Russell Schwebach; and his paternal & maternal grandparents.
