DARCY LYNN PRINS, age 57, of Hardwick, died Thursday, February 8, 2024, at her home. She was born August 29, 1966, in Appleton, MN, to Virgil and Arleene (Halbur) Rogers. She graduated from Redfield High School in 1984.
Darcy married Darin Prins on September 9, 2019, in Rapid City, SD. After their marriage, the couple continued to live in Hardwick. Darcy worked as a sales representative at Nordstrom's Automotive in Garretson, SD. She grew up on a farm and enjoyed working on the farm and developed a love for cows. Her whole home was decorated in cows and cow decor. She enjoyed spending time with her family and looked forward to the BBQs and holiday gatherings. She enjoyed her extended work family and the many gatherings she had with them. She enjoyed racing whether it was going to the race track, working on race cars, or watching Nascar and cheering on her favorite driver, Denny Hamlin. She enjoyed watching football and cheering for her favorite team, the Carolina Panthers. She enjoyed watching NBA basketball with her sons and cheering for the Denver Nuggets. She enjoyed the Sturgis Bike Rally. She loved riding the Harley with Darin. She looked forward to going to Full Throttle and enjoyed attending Jackyl every year with her sister Bonnie. No matter what was taking place Darcy made sure that everyone was having a good time.
Darcy is survived by her husband, Darin Prins, Hardwick; five children, Mandi (Nick) Pate, Kalispell, MT; Megan (Joshua) Hataway, Hardwick; Janelle (Nathan) Hartmann, Box Elder, SD; Levi Lowell, Hardwick; and Travis (Katarina) Rogers, Hardwick; nine grandchildren, Shayleene, Shauna, Kyliauna, Kenneth, Haileigh, Carsen, Kaydence, Oliver and Harley; a sister, Bonnie Quinn, Rapid City, SD; brother-in-law, Thomas Hoffman, Spearfish, SD; and three nieces & nephews, LaRae, Jake and Sarah.
A time of fellowship will be from 9-11 am Saturday, February 17, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne. Memorial service will be 11 am Saturday at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Luverne, officiated by Shannon Nordstrom. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Prairie Center in Sioux Falls, SD.
