IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Darleen Grace
(Devries) Clark
October 30, 1930 – December 12, 2025
DARLEEN GRACE CLARK, age 95, of Apple Valley died Friday, December 12, 2025, at her home. She was born at home on a farm near Rushmore, MN, on October 30, 1930, to Joe and Susie (Harberts) DeVries. She worked for a time at Worthmore Creamery & Produce in Worthington, MN.
Darleen married Joseph Clark on June 24, 1953, in Rushmore. The couple raised three children, and farmed west of Worthington for many years until their retirement in 1992. After retirement they enjoyed raising a big garden, riding their bikes around Lake Okabena in Worthington and other bike trails, and visiting with family and friends.
After Joe died in 2016, Darleen stayed on the farm for a year and a half, then decided to make the move to a seniors apartment in Apple Valley, a suburb of the Twin Cities, to be closer to family. Besides spending time with family, she enjoyed playing cards, and having coffee with others from her building. She enjoyed going for walks, playing word games, crosswords, and jigsaw puzzles. She enjoyed following the news and reading. Still a gardener, she grew tomatoes and other plants on the balcony of her apartment.
Darleen was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Worthington. Even after moving to Apple Valley, she was able to watch the Sunday service on her computer.
Darleen is survived by her three children, Randall (Debra) Clark, Roseville, MN: Cynthia (Gene) Sprecher, Madison, WI; and Valerie (Frank) Eastland, Apple Valley, MN; four grandchildren, Brian (Michelle) Clark, Arden Hills, MN; Emily (Nicholas) Kremer, Shoreview, MN; Alicia (Paul Grinstead) Sprecher, Wauwatosa, WI; and Aaron Sprecher, Madison, WI; four great-grandchildren, Freyja Kremer, Calvin Kremer, Madeleine Clark, and Leah Grinstead; and her sister, Betty Bohnart, Sioux Falls, SD.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph on January 4, 2016; and five brothers, Harry, Harold, Clifford, Raymond, and Robert.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Westminster Presbyterian Church of Worthington.
Her legacy of kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Time of Fellowship will be 1:30 to 2:30 PM Friday Dec. 19 at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. Burial will be in the Sunset Rest Cemetery in Rushmore.
