DARLEEN LUTMER, age 82, of Lismore, died August 7, 2014 at Adrian Country Cottages. She was born September 27, 1931, in rural Lismore, to Alvin and Lottie (Eshelman) Knips. She graduated from Adrian High School.
Darleen married Melvin Lutmer on May 31, 1952, in Worthington. After their marriage, the couple farmed near Adrian. In 1963, they began farming in the Lismore area. In 1973, they moved to Lismore. Darleen worked at Campbell's Soup Company, in Worthington, for nearly twenty years before retiring.
She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lismore; the WCCW; and the Lismore American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing, word search puzzles and spending time outdoors especially mowing the lawn.
Darleen is survived by her twelve children, Deb & Frank Wieneke, Adrian; Dave & Deb Lutmer, Lismore; Joyce & Dave Kanten, Fulda; Gary & Roxanne Scholl Lutmer, St. James; Bruce & Ruth Lutmer, Brookyln Park; Randy & Barb Lutmer, Louisville, KY; Rick & Linda Lutmer, Omaha, NE; Linda & Rick Bartl, Aberdeen, SD; Tim Lutmer, Alexandria; Patty Johnson, Lismore; Jeff Lutmer, Lismore; and Lori Delano, Annandale; twenty grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; brother, Donald (Janice) Knips, Worthington; and a sister, Dorothy (Bob) Munns, Winnebago.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin, on June 9, 1996; daughter, Nancy Lutmer, in 1963; and a brother, Bill Knips.
