DARYL JEROME REESE, age 77, of Worthington, died Saturday, May 7, 2016 at South Shore Care Center in Worthington. He was born July 1, 1938 in Luverne, MN; to parents Arnold and Ruth (Vande Velde) Reese. He attended country school and graduated from Beaver Creek High School. After his schooling he worked in the construction business.
Daryl was united in marriage to Judy Stroh on September 29, 1959 in Luverne, MN. They made their home in Luverne until moving to Worthington in 1961. He then was employed with Campbell Soup Company until 1965 when he began hauling milk. In 1971 he started driving truck doing long haul trucking for several different companies.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and also the Knights of Columbus in Worthington. He enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, bowling, his horses and loved being with his family. He also enjoyed attending his grandchildren's activities.
Daryl is survived by his wife, Judith Reese, Worthington, MN; his children, Daniel (Robyn) Reese, Worthington, MN; Kim (Jerry) Dalin, Bigelow, MN; Jodie Reese, Austin, MN; and Stacie Zeidi, Worthington, MN; 12 grandchildren, Adam & Cody Reese and Rachel (Korey) Stinehart, Michelle Dalin, Brandi (Chad) Kleve, Ashley Johnson, Breanna (Dallas) Britt, Clayton & Darbee Novak, Milad, Nasim and Aisha Zeidi; 11 great grandchildren, Alizae, Kegan, Sawyer, Lexi, Parker, Emma, Brooklyn, Keeten, Reese, Clinton and Dallas, Jr. brothers, Bob (Judy) Reese, Luverne, MN; Bud (Carol) Reese, Princeton, MN and Michael (Candy) Reese, Luverne, MN; sisters Mary (Johannas) Nath, Magnolia, MN and Sue (Don) Juntunen, Menahga, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, Muftah Zeidi, two nieces Maria Reese and Monica Oliveros Strout. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 5 to 8 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 PM at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. The Funeral Service will be 10:30 AM Thursday, May 12, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Worthington with Father Jim Callahan and Deacon Vern Behrends officiating. Burial will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Worthington.
