DR. DAVID ALLEN REEVES, age 59, of Worthington, died Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at the Sanford Worthington Medical Center. He was born September 24, 1964, in Emmetsburg, IA, to Darrell and Ginger (Munson) Reeves. Dave graduated from Emmetsburg High School in 1983. In 1990, he graduated from Northwestern College of Chiropractic's in Bloomington. He served his country in the United States Army from Oct. 1983 to Oct. 1985, in Bad Kissingen, Germany.

Dave married Kelly Thompson on April 22, 1994, in Emmetsburg, IA. The couple lived in Worthington where Dave was a doctor at Worthington Chiropractic.

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Worthington, the Turkey Day Board, the Worthington Park & Rec Board, Memorial Auditorium Board, the Worthington VFW and he was very instrumental in establishing the Worthington Windsurfing Regatta. Dave was an adventurer who loved life. He enjoyed hiking, rock climbing, skydiving, traveling and running. He ran eight marathons and many other road races. He was a family man and especially loved his daughters.

Dave is survived by his wife, Kelly Reeves, Worthington; two daughters, Hope Reeves, Maple Grove; and Kate Reeves, Savage; mother, Ginger Reeves, Worthington; brother, Kurt (Elizabeth) Reeves, San Diego, CA; two sisters, Rachel Reeves, Alta, IA; and Meaghan Reeves, Aurelia, IA; many nieces & nephews; mother-in-law, Beverly Thompson, Emmetsburg, IA; sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Kurt) Reeves, San Diego, CA; and two brothers-in-law, Mike (Lorelei) Thompson, Sioux Falls, SD; and Pat (Erin) Thompson, Mason City, IA.

He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Reeves; and his father-in-law, James Thompson.

A time of fellowship will be from 4-7 pm Friday, Dec. 1, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington; and also one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Memorial service will be 10:30 am Saturday at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Worthington, officiated by Fr. James Callahan. Military honors will be provided by the Worthington American Legion & VFW.
