DAVID H. SLATER, age 60, of Bridgewater, SD, formerly of Wilmont, MN; died Monday, August 11, 2014 at Diamond Care Center in Bridgewater, SD. David was born July 25, 1954 in Slayton, MN; to parents Vic and Mildred (Klein) Slater.  He attended school at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic School in Wilmont and graduated from Worthington High School in 1972.
After his schooling he lived and worked in Sioux Falls, SD. David moved to Diamond Care Assisted Living in Bridgewater, SD; because of his health.
David enjoyed living in Bridgewater and enjoyed watching the local sporting events and activities in their community. He was an active walker and walked many miles around the community. David was also an avid bike rider and many times traveled to surrounding communities putting on many miles. He also enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Vikings and auto racing. He was a HUGE Elvis Presley fan!
He is survived by his father, Vic Slater, Wilmont; siblings, William (Monica) Slater, Rushmore; Theresa (Allen) Henderschiedt, Worthington; Beverly (David) Uppman, Worthington and Joseph (Connie Nelson) Slater, Wilmont nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred and his nephew, Kyle Uppman.
