DAWN MARIE PETERSEN, age 42, of St. Paul, formerly of Rushmore, died Friday, September 2, 2016, at the Regions Hospital in St. Paul. She was born July 27, 1974, in Adrian, to Floyd and Linda (Scheiber) Petersen. She graduated from Worthington High School in 1992; and later attended the University of Minnesota in St. Paul.

After high school, Dawn moved to Minneapolis. She held various jobs before moving to St. Paul, in 2012, and began working as a caretaker at the Kensington Hall Apartments.

She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Rushmore. She enjoyed reading, movies, swimming, snorkeling & vacations. She especially loved spending time with her nephews. She also had multiple friends who were very dear to her.

Dawn is survived by her parents, Floyd & Linda Petersen, Rushmore; brother, Brent (Char) Petersen, Rushmore; nephews, Grant & Wyatt Petersen; and many many friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

A time of fellowship will be from 3-5 pm Sunday at St. John Lutheran Church in Rushmore. A memorial service will be 2 pm Monday at St. John Lutheran Church in Rushmore. A private family committal service will be at a later date in the Adrian Cemetery.
