DEBRA K. SCHEIDT POSS, Age 64, of Sibley, IA, died Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at her home. She was born January 17, 1958 in Worthington, MN to Theodore and Kathleen (Balster) Jueneman. Deb grew up in Worthington where she graduated from Worthington High School in 1976.

Deb married Gene Scheidt on October 18, 1980 and through this union; the couple was blessed with two sons Jacob and Jay Scheidt. In 1999 they went their separate ways.

In 2005 she met Wayne Poss and the couple was united in marriage on August 2, 2019, at St. Mary Catholic Church, in Worthington. Deb loved entertaining family and guests for holidays; especially Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. She was a great cook. She had a big heart with a playful personality. Deb enjoyed traveling and camping with Wayne. Sturgis, Grand Canyon, Vegas, Colorado, California, Playa Del Carmen, The Black Hills, and Canada are just a few of the places they traveled together. She enjoyed working at District 518, for nearly 20 years, working with her students. Above all, Deb loved her grandchildren, friends and her family. She had a contagious laugh and a strong love for life. She also loved her animals. Her chihuahua, Libby, was her baby and recently had a cat named Riley.

Deb is survived by her husband, Wayne, Sibley; two sons, Jacob Scheidt, (Abbey) Alexandria, MN and Jay Scheidt, (Molly) Worthington, MN; stepdaughters, Anna (Jeff) Bodensteiner, Des Moines, IA, Emily (Mark Kivett) Poss, Des Moines, and Rachel (Jose) Brooks, Des Moines. Grandchildren, Savvy, Della, Teddy, Milo, and Jordy. Siblings, Gary (Terri) Jueneman, twin brother, Dan (Patty) Jueneman, Brenda (Rich) Voss, and Bob Jueneman.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Kathleen and Ted, father-in-law Dallas; sister, Patricia; and niece, Cassie.

Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 pm at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Sibley, IA; visitation also from 9-9:45 am Saturday at the church. Funeral Mass will be Saturday at 10 am, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, in Sibley, IA, officiated by Fr. Siby Punnoose and Deacon Vern Behrends. Burial will be in the St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery in Sibley, IA.
