DELLA JOHNSON, age 90, of Worthington, formerly of Rushmore, died Thursday, December 9, 2010, at the Crossroads Care Center in Worthington. She was born one of eight children on April 5, 1920, in Ellsworth, MN to Ocko and Emma (Luppen) Deboer. Della grew up in Ellsworth and was confirmed in the Zion Presbyterian Church in Ellsworth. Della married Adolf Johnson on February 15, 1945, on Della?s parent?s farm, near Adrian. After their marriage, the couple farmed in the rural Rushmore and Adrian areas. In 1980, they retired and moved into Rushmore. She became a resident of the Crossroads care Center on October 9, 2008. She was a member of the Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, south of Rushmore. She enjoyed having coffee parties with her friends. Della is survived by her sister, Lena Kroeze, Ellsworth; special friend, Rudy Heyen, Rushmore; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Adolf, on June 30, 2002, three brothers and four sisters.
