DENA E. JACOBS, age 84, of Worthington, died Friday, May 29, 2009 at the Crossroads Care Center in Worthington. She was born July 17, 1924 in Ransom Township, Nobles County, to George and Alice (Alberts) Jacobs. She attended country school in Ransom Township. Dena worked at home taking care of her family where she was the homemaker until her father died. She moved to Worthington in 1966 and worked at Wolff?s Department Store and Harpers Clothing Store. She was a resident of Nobles County all of her life. Dena moved to the Meadows in March of 2006. She was a resident at the Crossroads Care Center for a short time. She was a member of the Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in rural Rushmore. She loved to cook, enjoyed flower gardening, and entertaining friends and family. Dena is survived by a brother, Dick and (Tillie) Jacobs, Rushmore; a niece, Janet (Carl) Smid, Worthington; nephew, Randy (Joyce) Jacobs, Rushmore; two great nieces, Laura and Sarah Jacobs; step great nephew Jeremey Smid, step great great niece Haley Smid and a special friend, Aileen Watson, Worthington. She is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Harry Jacobs.
