DENNIS "DENNY" OSSENFORT, age 64, of Worthington, died Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. He was born July 9, 1952, in Sioux City, IA, to Albert and Anna (Meyer) Ossenfort. Denny was baptized & confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Luverne. He graduated from Luverne High School.
Denny married Diane Determan on June 15, 1974, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Worthington. The couple lived in Worthington all of their married lives. Denny worked at TAC in Worthington; and later at the State Bank of Worthington. He owned & operated "Den's Lawn Care" in Worthington before returning to TAC.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Worthington. From his vehicles to his lawn care business, Denny took pride in everything he did. He enjoyed tinkering in his shed. He was proud that he and Diane's transportation began with a side by side bicycle, to a motorized golf cart, to finally his van.
Denny is survived by his wife, Diane Ossenfort, Worthington; ten siblings, Don (Barb) Ossenfort, Rapid City, SD; Lois (Norm) Nath, Luverne; Carol (Virgil) Oltmans, Apple Valley; Alice Hansen, Hardwick; Linda (Gene) Molden, St. Cloud; Rodger (Dianne) Ossenfort, Luverne; Judy Reis, Columbus, GA; Deb Gehrke, Beaver Creek; Brenda (Keith) Staeffler, Valley Springs, SD; and Kathy (Keith) Scholten, Valley Springs, SD; two sisters-in-law, Marcia Ossenfort, Kenneth; and Linda Ossenfort, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marlene (Lyle) Lundgren; three brothers, Loren (Grace) Ossenfort, David Ossenfort and Larry "Ozzie" Ossenfort; and two brothers-in-law, Ron Hansen and Roger Gehrke.
Funeral Mass will be Monday at 11 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, in Worthington, officiated by Fr. James Calahan & Deacon Vern Behrends. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial will be at 2 pm Monday at St. Francis Xavior Catholic Cemetery in Windom.
