DIANE ELAINE LING, age 57, of Bigelow, died Monday, September 10, 2012 at her home. She was born on July 2, 1955, in Worthington to parents Robert and Muriel (Doran) Snyder. She graduated from Worthington High School in 1973, and married her high school sweetheart, Gregory Ling on August 4, 1973. They made their home in Worthington and later Bigelow. She passed away following a brief illness, in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Diane worked various jobs in her early marriage, but found her calling in her work with mentally and physically challenged adults. She worked many years for Client Community Services, Inc. at The Achievement Center (T.A.C.) and most recently for the Developmental Achievement Center (D.A.C.) all in Worthington. She was gifted and devoted to providing care to these special clients with whom she worked.
Diane is survived by her husband, Greg Ling, Bigelow; son, Jared (Brandy Like) Ling, Sibley; daughter, Jessica (Ivan Soto) Ling, Bigelow; grandchildren, Brandon O'Connor, Estevon Soto, Vanessa Soto, Jovonny Soto, Nevaeh Soto, Ivonte Soto and Taylor Ling, mother, Muriel Snyder, Worthington; brother, Robert Snyder, Worthington; sisters, Janelle (Mike) Johnson, Worthington; Joan (Wayne) Smedsrud, Volga, SD; and Laurie Walker, Waterloo, IA; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She also leaves the many clients she worked with and loved.
She was preceded in death and looking forward to be reunited with her father, Robert Snyder.
Private family services are planned in her honor.
