DOLORES LAVONNE KOPPLOW, age 86, of rural Adrian, died Monday, December 26, 2011, at the Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Ellsworth. She was born July 29, 1925, in Ramsom Township, MN, to Harvey and Cora (Ostrom) Kruse. She attended country school in District #12 Little Rock Township.
Dolores married Carl Kopplow on February 26, 1946, at the Emmanuel Presbyterian Parsonage south of Rushmore. After their marriage, the couple farmed south of Adrian. Dolores enjoyed volunteering for over nine years at the Arnold Memorial Nursing Home in Adrian.
She was a member of the Eastfriesland Church of Christ in Rushmore; and the Green & Growing Garden Club. She enjoyed going on tours and polka music.
Dolores is survived by her husband, Carl Kopplow, rural Adrian; three children, Le Wayne (Marsha) Kopplow, rural Adrian; Charlene Bradshaw, Norman, OK; and Vickie (Donn) Russell, Branson, MO; five grandchildren, Kristi (Mike) Dixon, Jeff (Dawn) Kopplow, Jared Kopplow, Brian Russell & Drew Russell; five great grandchildren, Brendon, Jordin & Logan Kopplow; and Michael & Miles Dixon; two brothers, Duane (Wilma) Kruse, rural Adrian; and Eldon (Lorna) Kruse, rural Rushmore; a sister, Marlene Christians, Ellsworth; and many nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Jason Kopplow, on July 11, 1999; a sister, Avis Fletcher; and a brother, Delmar Kruse.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Adrian, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Funeral will be 10:30 am Thursday at Eastfriesland Church of Christ, in Rushmore, officiated by Rev. Beryl Hicks. Burial will be in the Adrian Cemetery.
