DONALD W. JOHNSON, age 77, of Brewster, died Monday, December 24, 2007 at Sogge Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Windom, MN. He was born on November 23, 1930 to parents, Oscar and Norma (Reidemann) Johnson, in Cherokee County, Iowa. He attended country school near Marcus, IA. Donald served his country during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Marine Corp. On June 28, 1955, Donald was united in marriage to Donna Holtgrewe in Remsen, IA. After their marriage, the couple farmed in Remsen and Marcus area. In January of 1970, they moved to the farm north of Brewster. In 1986 they moved to the farm north of Rushmore. In May of 2000, they retired and moved to Worthington. Donald became a resident of the Sogge Good Samaritan Home in Windom in April of 2006. Donald is survived by his five children, Dennis (Deb) Johnson, Brewster; Louise (Jim) Naumann, Brewster; Karen (Kim) Rowley, Reading; Brian (Carmen) Johnson, Brewster; and Lori (Steve) Burdick, Heron Lake; fourteen grandchildren, Wendy (Neil) Frodermann, Nichole (Dustin) Post, Lisa Johnson, Christopher and Andrew Naumann, Angela (Eric) Murray, Adam Hagerman, Allan Rowley and fianc?e Kayla Markus, Alivia Rowley, Anthony, Jennifer, and Katy Johnson, Bradlee and Jacob Burdick, Seven great-grandchildren, Cody, Christine, and Corrine Frodermann, Mason Johnson, Tyree and Tia Murray, and Jacob Hagerman, one brother, Roger (Carol) Johnson, Remsen, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, an infant granddaughter, three brothers and one sister .
