DONALD CARL KUTZBACH, age 72, of Round Lake, died, Thursday, February 21, 2013 at his home. He was born November 22, 1940 in Worthington to parents Carl and May (Jensen) Kutzbach. He attended country school in Round Lake Twp and graduated from Okabena High School in 1958. After his schooling he worked for Tom Riley in his farming operations. He then pursued his own custom harvesting business and grew the family dairy business.
Donald was united in marriage to Michelle Halquist on January 7, 1975. They made their home on the family farm in Round Lake Twp. He was engaged in the family dairy operation, farming and did welding for himself and his friends. He also worked for the Lake Park Elevator until his retirement in 2009. After his retirement he enjoyed his spare time with his grandchildren and helping his son Brian farm. Donald had a strong passion for restoring tractors and showing them at threshing shows.
He is survived by his children, Stacie (Alex) Seymour, Minneapolis, MN; Brian Kutzbach, Round Lake, MN; Kelly (Marcus) Maras, Worthington and Angela Kutzbach, Volga, SD; three grandchildren, Jayden Maras, Alisa Maras and Elliot Kutzbach; a brother Rolland Kutzbach also survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Michelle Kutzbach on August 4, 2007.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
The service will be Wednesday at 1:30 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Round Lake with Pastor Robert Bartlett officiating. Burial will be at the Sioux Valley Cemetery in Sioux Valley Twp, Jackson County, MN.
