DONNA "DIXIE" (JANSSEN) GROTLUSCHEN, age 82, of George, IA, formerly of Worthington, died Friday, August 18, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Society in George, IA. She was born April 25, 1935, in Rushmore, to Anthony and Anna (Smith) Malmquist. She attended grade school in Rushmore and high school in Worthington.

Donna married Alfred L. Janssen on March 7, 1956, in Sioux Falls, SD. After their marriage the couple moved South of Adrian and farmed until retiring in 1984. At that time they moved to Worthington. After retiring Alfred and Donna wintered in the Rio Grande Valley, Alamo, TX for twenty years. Alfred died on December 8, 2010.

Donna married Don Grotluschen on October 11, 2013, in George, IA. The couple lived in George, IA.

Donna is survived by her Husband, Don Grotluschen, George, IA; four children and their spouses, Randy (Viv) Mueller, Aurora; Dan (Tammy) Janssen, Lake Wilson; Pat (Donna) Janssen, Worthington; and Panda (Mike) Heston, Windom; daughter-in-law, Cathy Janssen, Mankato; thirteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joan Guenther, Elkhart, KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Alfred; son, Scott; and five brothers, Burton, Jay, Sumner, Homer & Kenneth Malmquist.

A private family burial of cremains will be at a later date at the Sunset Rest Cemetery in Rushmore.
