Obituary

DORIS E. KRAMER, age 87, of Luverne, died Friday, February 25, 2011, at the Sanford Hospice Cottage in Luverne. She was born March 30, 1923, in Ellsworth, to Frank and Gertrude (Henrichs) Meester. She attended school in Ellsworth. Doris married Alvin Kramer on October 1, 1941, in Marshall. After their marriage, the couple lived in Marshall. In 1945, they began farming north of Magnolia. Alvin died on October 21, 1971. Doris moved to Luverne in 2002. She was a homemaker and an Avon representative for many years. She was a member of the Magnolia Methodist Church; and a former 4-H Leader. She enjoyed dancing, baking & sewing. Doris is survived by her four children, Dorral Guzman, Luverne; Cheryl (Robert) Miller, Rushmore; Alan Kramer, Magnolia; and Kevin (Shelly) Kramer, Marshall; ten grandchildren, Rocky (Autumn) Sannizzaro, Brett Miller, Chad (Tyann) Kramer, Michael (Laura) Miller, Scott Kramer, Jacque Sannizzaro, Seaira Kramer, Suzann (Shane) Kluever, Heidi (Keith) Gubbins & Shane Kramer; nineteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; three brothers, Gordon (Elaine) Meester, Ivanhoe; Dennis (Barbara) Meester, Bradenton, FL; and Gary (Judy) Meester, Sioux Falls, SD; three sisters, Elizabeth Grote, Glendale, AZ; Margaret (Jim) Odenbrett, Adrian; and Connie (Jim) Wendt, Petersburg, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin; an infant daughter, Margaret, in 1941; a grandchild, Matthew Miller, in 2006; four brothers, Jacob, Henry, Frank Jr. & Burdell Meester; three sisters, Gertrude Williams, Kaye Flynn & Delaine Groenewold; and an infant sister, Joanne Meester.
