Doris G. Henrichs, age 96 of Ellsworth, MN went to meet her Heavenly Father at Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Ellsworth on March 7, 2016.
Doris was born April 13, 1919 on the family farm to Fred and Martha (Heikes) Nolte. She attended grade school at District 39 and later graduated from Ellsworth Public School.
Doris married R.J. Henrichs on August 31, 1940 in Brewster.  They farmed northwest of Ellsworth until 1988, then retired in Ellsworth.  People loved to drive by their house and admire the beautiful red geraniums.  R.J. passed away in 2009, and Doris became a resident of Parkview Manor.
At a young age Doris put her trust in Jesus Christ.  She was a member of Zion Presbyterian Church and she daily continued to show God's love by helping others.  An example of this love was in 1975, when they moved ½ mile down the road to the home farmstead to care for her parents.  She also taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, helped with Bible School and was in a number of women's church groups.  She loved  to (as R.J. would say) "get dolled" up especially for church.  She always said "it is the best place I can go all dressed up" .
She was a 4-H leader, a hard working farm wife, and a great cook!  They never had trouble getting hired hands because of her great meals.  She loved walking, bowling, playing cards, meeting new people and visiting with her friends at coffee.  But most of all Doris loved sharing her life with her late husband of sixty-eight years, her daughter and son-in-law, her grandson and his family.  She always tried to attend her families' activities and was always available to babysit!
Paging through Doris's Bible we found a note in memory she had written to R.J.
"It has been months since you changed your address and went to your new home in Heaven to be with your Savior.  Although you are not physically with me in this world you are with me in my heart everyday.  Until I change my address to the same as yours and we can spend eternity together, thanks be to God for the gift of His Son".

Doris is survived by her daughter, Mary Kaye (Chuck) Pfeister, Sioux Center, IA; her grandson J.C. (Danielle) Pfeister, and great-granddaughters Logan and Kate of Shawnee, KS; one sister, Evelyn Pinckney of Little Falls, MN; sisters-in-law, Eileen Henrichs, Galena, IL, Fran (Don) Johnson, Tea, SD; Cleo Vaupel, Owatonna, MN; and a brother-in-law Jerry (Carla) Henrichs, Ramona, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.J., son Bart, parents Mr. & Mrs. Fred Nolte, and a brother, Vernon.
Family requests memorials to Zion Presbyterian Church or Parkview Manor.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-6:30 pm at the Zion Presbyterian Church in Ellsworth. The Memorial Service will be Thursday at 11:00 am at the Zion Presbyterian Church, with Reverend Pau Snyder officiating.
The burial will be Thursday at 9:30 at the Grand Prairie Cemetery in Ellsworth. The Dingmann Funeral Home of Adrian will be in charge of arrangements.
