DOROTHY ANN HIERONIMUS, age 72, of Adrian, died Thursday, May 29, 2008, at the Sanford Hospital, in Sioux Falls, SD. She was born July 20, 1935, in Adrian, to Jerry and Hattie (Ennenga) Moerke. She graduated from Adrian High School, where she was Homecoming Queen. Dorothy married Roger Hieronimus on February 7, 1953, in Hayward, CA. After their marriage, Dorothy spent four years living with her husband in the Air Force. They began farming in the Wilmont area in 1957. In 1995, they retired and moved to Adrian. The couple managed the Adrian Campground for seven years; and cleaned the United Methodist Church, in Adrian, for the last seven years. Dorothy also worked in the lunchroom at the Adrian School. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, in Wilmont, where she taught Sunday school & played piano. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, crocheting, and making crafts for her grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Roger Hieronimus, Adrian; four children and their spouses, Pat & Jerry Jueneman, Hartford, SD; Wanda & Chess Woodbury, Spirit Lake, IA; Curt & Gail Hieronimus, Adrian; and Julie & Ed Munkel, Rushmore; seven grandchildren, Stacy (Paul), Cory (April), Sara (Darrel), Danny (Kassie), Kelly (Brady), Amber (Kyle), & Mathew; granddaughter-in-law, Sarah; ten great grandchildren; and two brothers, Lawrence (Tillie) Moerke, Dawson; and Dennis Moerke, Philpot, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Adam Lowell Woodbury, in March of 2008; brother, William Moerke; and a sister, Betty Lerch.
