DOROTHY SPRINGMAN, age 82, of Adrian, died Monday, November 29, 2010, at Suite Living in Champlin. She was born September 24, 1928, in Fulda, to Emil and Johanna (Popkes) Czepa. She attended school in Fulda, MN. Dorothy married Clair Springman on September 21, 1950, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Wilmont. After their marriage, the couple moved to Camp Polk, Louisiana, where Clair was stationed in the United States Army. After his discharge, the couple moved to the farm northwest of Lismore. In 1987, they retired from farming and in 1992 they moved to Adrian. Dorothy became a resident of Suite Living in February of 2010. She was a member of St. Adrian Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters of America, and Lismore American Legion Auxiliary. Dorothy's interests/hobbies included quilting, ceramics, crafts and gardening. Dorothy is survived by her twelve children, Mike (Tracey) Springman, Leesburg, VA; Chuck (Collette) Springman, Sioux Falls, SD; Bob (Nancy) Springman, Worthington; Pat (Bob) Grimshaw, Bowie, MD; Daryl (Donna) Springman, Dell Rapids, SD; Jan Schwerin, Champlin; Alan Springman, Las Vegas, NV; Diane Heitkamp, Brooklyn Park; Joe Springman, Manassas, VA; Bill (Jill) Springman, Redondo Beach, CA; Greg (Jennifer) Springman, Lino Lakes; and Jean (D.J.) Leary, Redondo Beach, CA; thirty grandchildren; five great grandchildren, three brothers, Les Czepa, Fulda; Emil ?Junior? (Betty) Czepa, Fulda; and Jim (Bonnie)Czepa, Woodbury. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clair, of over 58 years, her parents, granddaughter, Alecia Heitkamp, in 1989; two brothers, Walt Czepa & Francis (Gladys) Czepa. In lieu of flowers, memorial are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.
