EARLE JAMES PERRY, age 78, of Luverne, MN formerly of Hibbing, died Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at Sanford Hospital in Luverne. He was born March 18, 1932, in Chisholm, MN to Edison and Ruth (Frykman) Perry. He grew up and attended school in Warroad, MN. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1952 and worked as an Aircraft Mechanic while serving on Midway Island during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1956 and returned to Minnesota. Earle was united in marriage to Jill Olson on April 24, 1965, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing. After their marriage they made their home in Hibbing where Earle worked for Hibbing Taconite Company for twenty-seven years. He moved to the Minnesota Veterans Home in Luverne in 2008. He was a member of the Hibbing VFW for many years. Earle loved the outdoors and wildlife. He especially enjoyed camping, hunting, teaching his children and grandchildren to fish, and watching the birds and animals. He also enjoyed woodworking projects, high school hockey and spending time with his family. Earle is survived by his wife Jill, Sioux Falls, three children, Erin (Russell) Bishop, Dallas, TX; Steven (Melanie) Perry, Becker; Beth (Matt) McQuisten, Sioux Falls; eight grandchildren, Nicholas (Megan) Perry, Tyler Bishop, McKenzie Bishop, Anna Perry, Sarah Lehmann, Joseph Perry, Zachary Lehmann, Carsen Bishop; three brothers, Donald (Cora Mae) Perry, Side Lake, MN; Kenneth Perry, Chisholm; David (Laura) Perry, Chisholm; and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
