Edward William Lynch, age 74, of Luverne, died Saturday, December 14, 2024, at his home. He was born April 22, 1950, in Luverne, to Cletus and Angela (Giedemann) Lynch. Ed graduated from Luverne High School in 1968. After high school he served his country in the United States Air Force from 1969 to 1973. He then attended Renton Technical College in Renton, WA.

Ed married Linda Weber on April 6, 1979, in Luverne. The couple lived in Washington until moving to Tea, SD in 1982. In 1986 they moved to their forever acreage southwest of Luverne. Ed worked in the Bio-Medical Engineering Department at the Sanford USD Medical Center, in Sioux Falls, SD. He retired in 2012.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, target shooting, working on enduro cars, gardening & canning, cooking, reading, watching UFC fights, playing pinochle, spending time with grandkids and doting on his two dogs Jade & Jamie.

Ed is survived by his wife, Linda Lynch, Luverne; three children, Jennifer (Steve) Bostrom, Hartford, SD; Nicole Bonsma, Prior Lake; and Matt (Casey) Lynch, Luverne; nine grandchildren, Hannah, Neviah, Amiah and Collin Bostrom; Brody & Cole Bonsma; and Allydia, Gabriella & David Lynch; and a sister, Kathleen (Darrell) Kapaun, Luverne.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Michael (Corrine) Lynch.

A time of fellowship will be from 4-6 pm Friday, December 20th at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne. Prayers and sharing of memories will be at 6 pm followed by military honors provided by the Luverne American Legion & VFW at the funeral home.
