EDWARD W. SCHROEDER, age 92, of Worthington, died Monday, November 1, 2010 at the Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Ellsworth. He was born on September 8, 1918 in Lake Park, IA to parents, Herman and Bertha (Jochims) Schroeder. He attended rural school in Jackson County. After his schooling he farmed with his parents near Round Lake, MN. Edward was united in marriage to Mona Bettinger on November 15, 1942 in Worthington. After their marriage they lived in the Round Lake area until moving to Worthington in 1958. Edward worked at Campbell Soup Company from 1959 until retiring in 1982. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Worthington. He enjoyed fishing and especially enjoyed watching and listening to the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. Edward is survived by his six children, Warren (Beverly) Schroeder, Worthington, MN; Sandra (Gene) Sanders, Ellsworth, MN; Galen (Joan) Schroeder, Pipestone, MN; Linda Versluis (special friend, John Kluever) Spencer, IA; Cheryl (Mike) Parker, Morgan, MN; and Michael Schroeder, Worthington, MN; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, two sisters, Hertha Kuehl, Loveland, CO; and Vernette Schroeder, Paynesville, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mona, on August 11, 1998, one sister, Hazel Weise and one grandson
