EDWIN EUGENE LOGER, age 82, of Luverne, died Monday, June 2, 2008, at his home. He was born August 1, 1925, in rural Kanaranzi, to Charlie and Anna (Kuper) Loger. He attended country school in rural Rock County; and the Luverne High School. Ed married Margaret Anderson on September 30, 1947, at the State Line Presbyterian parsonage, near Kanaranzi. They made their home in Luverne all of their married lives. Ed was employed at Worthmore Produce & Skel Gas before working as a mason for Maxwell Construction in Luverne. He later became self-employed as a mason working on many buildings in Luverne. He later became self-employed as a mason working on many buildings in Luverne. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, in Luverne. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing pinochle, polka music & cutting wood. Ed is survived by his five children, Keith & Karen Loger, Cedar Rapids, IA; Diane & Gary Korthals, Kearney, NE; Denis Loger, Worthington; Gary Loger, Sioux Falls, SD; and Sheila Loger & Mike Pleasants, St. Paul; five grandchildren, Shane Korthals, Jason Loger, Derek Korthals, Kari Loger & Magan Loger; a great grandchild, Aiden Korthals; brother, Donald Loger, Luverne; and two sisters, Evelyn Iveland, Luverne; and Doris (Harvey) Kemmerling, rural Luverne. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret Loger, on May 26, 2002; son, Curtis, in 1968; infant son, Eugene, in 1954; infant grandson, Brent Korthals; sister, Marion Gertz; and a brother, Irvin Loger.
