EFFIE MARY EVELAND, age 89, of Worthington, died Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at the South Shore Care Center in Worthington. She was born in Adrian on April 20, 1918, to parents, Sebastian and Effie (Karstens) Durband. Effie attended country school near Worthington. After her schooling she lived in the Twin Cities for a while and then moved to Worthington. Effie was united in marriage to Donald Eveland in Luverne. During their marriage, Effie worked for the Worthington Regional Hospital for over twelve years in housekeeping. She was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Worthington. Effie is survived by five nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald in 1987, one brother, Boyd Durband and one sister, Helen Christensen. A private family graveside service will be held at St. Mary?s Catholic Cemetery, in Worthingon.
