ELIZABETH (TOOTIE) TOFTELAND, age 64, of Rapid City, SD; formerly of Worthington, died, Friday, January 30, 2009. She was born on March 4, 1944 in Wala Wala, Washington, to parents, Gary Roos, Sr. and Luella (Kluever) Roos. Liz moved with her family to Worthington and graduated from Worthington Senior High School in 1962. After graduating she attended the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh. She was united in marriage to Don Tofteland on June 26, 1968 and they were later divorced in 1994. Liz has resided in Rapid City for the past twenty years. She was a long time school teacher that retired due to health reasons. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Jodi (Denny) Leibel, Rapid City, SD and her son, JD Tofteland of Monterey, CA; former husband, Don Tofteland, Rapid City, SD; brothers, Roman (Peggy) Roos, Victoria, MN and Gary Jr. (Joan) Roos, rural Worthington; sisters, Yvette Roos, Bellingham, WA; Tammy (Lynn) Brunk, Worthington; and two grandchildren, Zachary and Jared Leibel.
