ELVERA L. BUCHER, age 77, of Worthington, died Thursday, March 28, 2008, at the Avera-McKennan Hospital, in Sioux Falls, SD. She was born August 14, 1930, in Butterfield, to Harvey and Anna (Trade) Offerdahl. She graduated from Worthington High School. Elvera married Ervin Bucher on August 27, 1948, in Worthington. After their marriage, the couple farmed near Reading; and later by Worthington. In the early 1970?s, the family moved to Brewster where Ervin worked as a mechanic at Western Implement. In 1978, the family moved to Worthington. Elvera worked at The Crystal Caf?, in Worthington; Sathers, in Round Lake; and Wheel Camping, in Worthington. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, in Worthington. Elvera enjoyed painting outdoor scenery, camping, fishing, gardening & bird watching. Elvera is survived by her three children and their spouses, Les & Diane Bucher, Eyota; Sandy & Don Stuntebeck, Sioux Falls, SD; and Sonia & Bill Tjepkes, Adrian; seven grandchildren, Jessy Berger, Wanda & Jolene Bucher, Travis & Dustin Stuntebeck, and William & Adam Crissinger; and three great grandchildren, Tatyanna & Isiah Bucher; and Wyatt Stuntebeck. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ervin, on December 2, 1989; son, Merl, in 1981; and a daughter, Wanda, in 1968.
