ETTINA ?TINA? RUST, age 97, of Luverne, formerly of Adrian, died Sunday, April 16, 2006, at the Sioux Valley Luverne Community Hospital. She was born March 29, 1909, in George, IA, to Jake and Johanna (Heeren) Tjepkes. She attended rural schools near Canby & Lismore. Tina married Ben Rust on July 18, 1928, in Ellsworth. After their marriage, the couple farmed in rural Magnolia. They later moved to the farm in rural Adrian. They moved to Adrian in 1950. Tina worked as a waitress & cook at various restaurants. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, in Adrian. She enjoyed sewing, baking, knitting and playing pinochle. Tina is survived by her four children and their spouses, Marvin & Lena Rust, Magnolia; Dolores & Dick Dreesen, Luverne; Melvin & Dorothy Rust, Sioux Falls, SD; and Joyce & Duane Mulder, Luverne; sixteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; brother, Martin (Florence) Tjepkes, Black Duck; and six sisters, Johanna Gross, Hines; Viola Johnson, St. Michael; Kathryn Rosenberg, Ellsworth; Marion Boltjes, Ellsworth; Lorraine Newman, Sibley, IA; and Leona (Burdell) Geerdes, Black Duck. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ben, in 1973; a grandson, Donald Dreesen; two brothers, Luke & Harry Tjepkes; and a sister, Fannie Lutjens. Blessed Be Her Memory.
