FLORENCE ALMA FIENHAGE, age 98, of Worthington, formerly of Wilmont, died Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at the Meadows in Worthington. She was born January 11, 1921, near St. Kilian, to Leo and Clara (Brake) Menke. She attended St. Kilian Catholic School.

Florence married Robert Fienhage on October 8, 1940, at St. Kilian Catholic Church. After their marriage, the couple farmed near Wilmont before moving into town in 1970. Florence worked as a waitress at the Wilmont Liquor Store, the Wilmont Café and lunches at the St. Kilian and OLGC Schools from 1970 to 1985.

She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, in Wilmont; the WCCW; Catholic Aid; the Wilmont Booster Club; the Wilmont Senior Citizens and the Wilmont VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, traveling and camping.

Florence is survived by her three sons, Charles (Cindy) Fienhage, Wilmont; Galen (Barb) Fienhage, San Antonio, TX; and Robert (Susan) Fienhage, Champlain; six daughters, Patricia Fienhage-Werden, St. Paul; Darlene (Dennis) Voss, Sioux Falls, SD; Monica (Bill) Slater, Rushmore; Shirley (Tom) Balster, Minneapolis; Lori (Ken) Welle, Dayton; and Lois (James) Vortherms, Jordan; nineteen grandchildren; twenty nine great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren; three brothers, Alphonse (Donna) Menke, Aloys "Pike" (Marie) Menke and Vincent (Sharon) Menke; and a sister, Eileen Scott.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert in 2005; an infant son, Roger; two brothers, Marvin and Leo; and a sister, Ethelreda.

Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Monday, with Parish Prayers at 7 pm, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Wilmont. Visitation also one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Tuesday at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church officiated by Monsignor Richard Colletti. Burial will be in the St. Kilian Cemetery in St. Kilian.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Ecumen Meadows in Worthington.
