FLORENCE MARY NOLTE, age 93, of Ellsworth, died Monday, October 19, 2015, at the Sibley Nursing & Rehab Clinic in Sibley, IA. She was born November 14, 1921, in Ellsworth, to Frank and Barbara (Verhalen) Seitz. She graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1939.
Florence married Vernon Nolte on November 28, 1951, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellsworth. After their marriage, the couple farmed northeast of Ellsworth. In 1990, they retired and moved to Luverne. In 1999, they moved to the Homestead in Worthington. Florence worked as a Certified Nurses Aid at various nursing homes in the area.
She was a member of St Mary Catholic Church in Worthington; and a former member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellsworth. She enjoyed Dominoes, embroidery, jigsaw puzzles and traveling.
Florence is survived by her brother-in-law, Dick Wegner, Hartland, WI; and many nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon, on August 18, 2001; two brothers, Leo & Fabian Seitz; and two sisters, Clara Blanke & Bernardine Wegner.
Funeral Mass will be Thursday at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, in Ellsworth, officiated by Frs. James Seitz & Thomas Jennings. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in the St. Mary Cemetery in Ellsworth.
