FRANCES LORRAINE ALBERTS, age 98, of Rushmore, died Saturday, August 05, 2017, at the Sanford Hospice Cottage in Worthington. She was born June 30, 1919, in rural Nobles County, to Carl and Grace (Feeken) Reiter.

Frances married Kelly G. Alberts on September 10, 1937, at the Emmanuel Presbyterian Parsonage south of Rushmore. The couple farmed in the Rushmore area before moving to Frances's family farm south of Rushmore in 1960. In 1998, they built a new house in Rushmore.

She was a member of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church south of Rushmore where she served as the church's first female Elder. Frances also played organ & piano for many years, sang in the church choir and belonged to the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed music, reading, traveling, square dancing and chocolate.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Carol (Jerry) Horstman, Clear Lake, IA; son, Gerald (Alicia) Alberts, Del Rio, TX; three grandchildren, Marc (Judy) Johnson, Susan (Charles) Goeben and Dave Alberts; four great grandchildren, Michelle & Eric Johnson, William Goeben and Maurita Alberts; brother, Ray Reiter, Rogers, AR; sister, Tillie Jacobs, Rushmore; a half brother, Arnold (Gayle) Reiter, Mankato; and many nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kelly Alberts, on February 6, 2005; son-in-law, David Johnson; and a brother, Ubbe Reiter..

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington; and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

Funeral will be 10:30 am Wednesday at the Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, south of Rushmore, officiated by Pastor Paul Snyder. Burial will be in the Emmanuel Presbyterian Cemetery.
