FRANCES E. WIENEKE, age 85, of Adrian, died Sunday, December 9, 2007, at the Parkview Manor Nursing Home, in Ellsworth. She was born May 23, 1922, in Adrian, to Frank and Elizabeth (Kellen) Klein. Frances was baptized into the Catholic faith on May 28, 1922. She attended St. Adrian Catholic School. Frances married Herbert Wieneke on April 23, 1946, at St. Adrian Catholic Church. After their marriage, the couple farmed in rural Adrian. In 1979, they retired and moved to Adrian. She was very devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary. She was a member of St. Adrian Catholic Church; the Christian Mothers; and the CCW. She enjoyed doing handiwork, cooking & spending time with her family especially her grandchildren & great grandchildren. She is survived by her six children and their spouses, Emily & Ron Goebel, Goodhue; Kathleen & Mike Sangwin, Laurens, IA; Eileen & Gary Henning, Adrian; Stan & Tracy Wieneke, Adrian; Verna Taylor, Brandon, SD; and Rita & Duane Boltjes, Adrian; seventeen grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert, on June 13, 2002; son, LeRoy, in 1976; eight siblings, Ted Klein, Alvina Heitkamp, Sr. Verona Klein, Emily Klein, Msgr. Francis Klein, Wilfred Klein, Mildred Slater & Betty Wolf; and her Godparents, Theodore Klein & Frances Scheidt.
