December 27, 1949 – November 30, 2019
FRANCIS "WOODY" RAYMOND EINCK, age 69, of Wilmont, died Saturday, November 30, 2019, at his home. He was born December 27, 1949, in Worthington, to Isadore and Esther (Kremer) Einck. Woody graduated from Fulda High School in 1967; and later from Jackson Vocational-Technical School. He served his country in the United States Navy.
Woody married his high school sweetheart, Pamela Mary Hoffman on February 27, 1971, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Wilmont. After their marriage, the couple lived in Coronado, CA while Woody was in the service. In 1972, they moved to Jackson. Woody worked as a John Deere Technician at Jackson Implement. They moved to Fargo, ND in 1986 where he worked at the John Deere dealership. They retired in 2016 and moved back home to Wilmont in 2018. Woody was also a skilled self-taught woodworker. He owned & operated Woody's Workshop and was known for his handcrafted wood creations and had an uncanny ability to fix anything.
He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church; a thirty year member of the Knights of Columbus; and a former member of the Jackson Volunteer Fire Department and the EMT.
Woody is survived by his wife, Pam Einck, Wilmont; son, Todd (Brenda) Einck, Olathe, KS; daughter, Amy (Michael) Howell, Minneapolis; five grandchildren, Brooklynn Einck, Braden Einck, Audrey Howell, Lauren Howell and Kathryn Howell; two brothers, Jim (Sally) Einck, Phoenix, AZ; and Rodney (Madge) Einck, Bingham Lake. Brothers-in law George (Jean) Hoffman, Steven (Brenda) Hoffman, Virgil Hoffman, Bob Hoffman, sister-in-law, Dorothy Hoffman and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isadore & Esther Einck; and his in-laws, Arnold & Beatrice Hoffman and brother-in law Dennis Hoffman and his dog Tanner.
He was a humble servant who loved his family fiercely and deeply. He was peaceful man, who held himself to high standard and a sense of calm followed him. He took pride in precise work, cutting grass, clearing snow, and caring for his family. He was quiet with a quick witt.
