Obituary

FRANK "BUTCH" JUNIOR HIERONIMUS JR., age 82, of Adrian, died Friday, August 2, 2024, at his home. He was born January 25, 1942, in Nobles County, to Frank Sr. and Carrie (Boots) Hieronimus. He graduated from Adrian High School.

Butch married Carol Jean "Jeannie" Roemeling on September 21, 1963, in Adrian. Frank farmed most of his life on the family homestead in rural Adrian. He enjoyed farming, playing cards, and attending his children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter school activities.

Butch is survived by his wife, Jeannie Hieronimus, Adrian; five children, Jeanne (Dave) Schroeder, Hobbs, NM; Scott Hieronimus (Jolleen), Rushmore; Tim Hieronimus (Traci), Adrian; Shelly (Chad) Smith, Slayton; and Tracey (Paul) Reyne, Rushmore; fourteen Grandchildren, Leah (Andrew) Hemme, Luverne; Nathan (Jes) Reyne, Rushmore; Joshua Schroeder (Lupita), Hobbs, NM; Justin Smith (Toria), Iona; Nick (Bailey) Reyne, Adrian; Jared (Shelbie) Smith, Iona; Hunter (Derek) Peterson, Luverne; Skylar Hieronimus, Adrian; Jennifer Schroeder, Lubbock, TX; Noah Reyne, Rushmore; Tristin Hieronimus, Rushmore; Breyer Hieronimus, St. Kilian; and Caleb & Rylie Hieronimus, Rushmore; ten great-grandchildren, Kaeden, Levi, Bennett, Laykin, Heath, Holt, Everett, Otto, Layton and Mya; four brothers, Wayne (Jeanette) Hieronimus, Adrian; David (Marlene) Hieronimus, Adrian; Leroy (Gail) Hieronimus, Fergus Falls; and Gary (Linda) Hieronimus, Ellsworth; six sisters, Louise O'Neil, Fulda; Carol Kern, Adrian; Barb (Bill) Parsons, Washington; Judy (Leon) Schaffer, Mankato; Linda Thomas, California; and Joyce (Gary) Eickoff, Marshall; and many nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Sr. & Carrie Hieronimus; daughter-in-law, Jackie Hieronimus; three brothers, Edward, Roger and Leonard Hieronimus; sister, Evelyn Brace; four brothers-in-law, Leonard Brace, Daryl O'Neil, Donald Kern and Robert Thomas; and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Hieronimus and Donna Hieronimus.

A celebration of life will be from 4-7 pm Thursday, August 29, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Adrian. A private family burial will take place later.
