GARY ?PETE? COWAN, age 63, of rural Wilmont, died Saturday, May 20, 2006, at his home. He was born July 2, 1942 at home in Bloom Township, Nobles County, MN, to Cloyse and Vivian (Crabtree) Cowan. He received his education in the Fulda Public School System. Gary farmed with his family and worked one year for the Hanson Silo Company, he then returned and farmed with his father. He married Judith Ling on April 14, 1963 at the Bigelow Methodist Church. During their marriage they farmed in Bloom Township for 43 years, returning to the Cowan Farmstead in 1965. Gary was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wilmont and served as an Elder. He also was a Board Member on the Wilmont Farmers Elevator. He enjoyed farming, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Gary is survived by his wife, Judith Cowan. Wilmont; four sons, Richard (Stephanie) Cowan, Thornton, CO; Jim (Marcie) Cowan, Iona; John (Kristine) Cowan, Wilmont; Phillip (Michelle) Cowan, Lakewood, CO; ten grandchildren, four brothers, William (Marilyn) Cowan, Worthington, Don (Betty) Cowan, Shakopee, Norman (Joan) Cowan, Barstow, CA; Larry (Henri) Cowan, Storden, and three sisters, Joyce Pesch, Elbow Lake, Sharon (Bud) Fritz, Reading and Joan (Rowdy) Kuntz, Dragoon, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant sister. Blessed Be His Memory.
