GARY ROBERT ELNESS, age 74, of Worthington, died Sunday, September 24, 2017, at the South Shore Care Center in Worthington. He was born May 23, 1943, in Windom, to Robert and Evelyn (Hanson) Elness. Gary attended school in Windom and Heron Lake.

He loved animals and he loved caring for them, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Gary is survived by a sister Patricia Brandt, Worthington, MN; and a half brother Michael Kennedy, Hibbing, MN; he also has many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private family committal service will be held at a later date. The Dingmann Funeral Home, in Worthington, is assisting the family with arrangements.
