GARY W. HENDERSON, age 61, of Worthington, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at his home. He was born January 10, 1953 in Spirit Lake, IA; to parents George and Laura (Collier) Henderson. Gary graduated from Worthington High School in 1971. He then served his nation during the Vietnam Conflict in the United States Navy receiving his honorable discharge in 1975. After the service he returned to Worthington where he resided with his mother until she passed away. He worked various jobs and most recently was employed at JBS in Worthington.
He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed watching sports, riding his bike, reading and watching westerns and Law and Order. Gary also enjoyed visiting with his family and friends.
Gary is survived by his brother Bob (Diane) Henderson, Worthington; sisters, Elsie Rutzen, Worthington; Louise (Galen) Morgan, Las Vegas, NV; and Carol (Mathew) Johannes, Harris, IA; nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles and nephew, Jerry.
