GARY GLENN NAAB, age 75, of Worthington, died, Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Sanford Medical Center, Sioux Falls, SD. Gary was born October 27, 1937 in Ocheyedan, IA; to parents Glenn and Virginia (Tjaden) Naab. He graduated from the Ocheyedan High School in 1955. After his schooling he farmed on the family farm in Osceola County, IA. Gary was united in marriage to Martha Henning on June 5, 1960 at the American Lutheran Church in Worthington.
Gary served his nation from March 1960 until December 1962 in the United States Army. After returning from military service they made their home in Worthington Township where they were engaged in farming.
He was a member of the American Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 5 in Worthington. Gary also served on various boards in the Worthington area.
Gary's first love was his wife, Martha. He enjoyed his family especially taking his grandchildren for rides on his Harley. He and Martha loved to travel on their Harley making it to 48 of the 50 states. He also made three trips to Alaska with his riding buddies. Gary and Martha also traveled coast to coast during one of their many rides. He enjoyed his grandchildren, working with his hands, fabricating items with metal and repairing farm equipment. He also enjoyed being there for other people and helping them with any project.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Naab, Worthington, MN; children, Deb Twitchell, Rio Rancho, NM; Todd (Linda) Naab, Sisseton, SD; and Jim Naab, Worthington, MN; eight grandchildren, Eric, Derek, B.J., Mason, Jacob, Myra, Deann and Hannah, three great grandchildren, Keira, Wylder and Ryker, sister, Virgie Converse, Clinton, IL; sister-in-law, Betty Naab, Milford, IA; Henning in-laws and friends that are like his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Andy Naab, two brothers in-law and Ray Henning, who was like a brother.
