He was born July 6, 1929, in Hartford, SD to parents, Joseph and Lillian (Leisinger) Kadinger. George graduated from Hartford High School in 1947. He later served in the Korean War in communications on the front line from 1951 to 1953. After their marriage the couple moved to Worthington and George was employed as a building and grounds manager for St. Mary?s Catholic Church.
