GORDON OSCAR SODERHOLM, age 82, of Worthington died Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at the Sunset Cottage in Worthington. He was born July 8, 1924 in Worthington, he was the son of Paul and Mabel (Wass) Soderholm. He attended country school in Elk Township and graduated from Worthington High School in 1942. Gordon married Pearl Christopherson on March 10, 1950, at the Indian Lake Baptist Church, rural Worthington. After their marriage the couple farmed in Elk Township. In 1980 he retired from farming and moved to Worthington. Gordon then worked for Worthington Monument Works and Greenview Rest Area, south of Worthington. Gordon was confirmed, baptized and a member of the First Covenant Church in Worthington. He served on various community and church boards. Gordon is survived by his wife, Pearl, Worthington; three children, Karen (William) Peterson, St. Paul; Janice (Craig) Ebeling, Burnsville; and Charles (Janine) Soderholm, Mankato; one sister, Pauline (Arvid) Nickel, Worthington; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Blessed Be His Memory.
