GRACE ANNA MEJIA, age 76, of Worthington, died Monday, January 29, 2024, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. She was born December 16, 1947, in Worthington to Manco "Mike" and Margaret (Heidemann) Grimmius. Grace graduated from District 518 in 1967. After graduation, she worked at various jobs, she worked as a car hop at A&W Root Beer and a maid at a Holiday Inn. Grace worked at Campbell's Soup Co. for over fifty years. She then worked at Crossroads care center as a Dietary Aid until she retired in 2012.

Grace was married to Patrick Mejia at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Worthington. The couple later divorced. She later became engaged to Gary Citterman. She and Gary had two dogs Suzie and Snowball; they enjoyed taking them for walks as it was a whole family event. Grace was known for her "gift of gab"

She was a 50 year member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Worthington; and attended St. Mary Catholic Church in Worthington. She was a member of the YMCA she enjoyed the YMCA for exercise and companionship.

Grace is survived by her two brothers, LeRoy (Kathy) Heeren, Luverne; and Fred (Roberta) Heeren, Ashland, Ohio; sister-in-law, Loxie Heeren, Worthington; Fiancé, Gary Citterman, Worthington; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Norma Kuper; brother, Marvin Heeren; and a brother-in-law, Herbert Kuper.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington; and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Funeral Mass will be 11 am Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, in Worthington, officiated by Fr. Tim Biren and Pastor Galen Smith. Burial will be in the Worthington Cemetery.
