GREGORY PETER MATHIAS, age 83, of Fulda, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at the Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Fulda. He was born October 10, 1928, in Dundee, to Albert and Mary Ann (Disteldorf) Mathias. He attended school at Dundee and St. Gabriel Catholic School.
Greg married Georgia Karsten on August 17, 1957. Greg farmed the family farm west of Dundee. Greg moved to Fulda in 1996. He became a resident of the Maple Lawn Nursing Home in December of 2007.
He was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Fulda; the Knights of Columbus; and the Catholic Order of Foresters. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, children, playing cards, watching football and RFD television, rodeos and cattle auctions.
Greg is survived by his wife, Georgia Mathias, Fulda; two daughters, Sue (Jeff) Zins, Fulda; and Lynn (Todd) Nyhus, Sioux Falls, SD; son, Doug (Vickie) Mathias, Dundee, MN; and two grandchildren, Holly & Levi Zins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Leo, Ralph & Francis Mathias; and a sister, Betty Johnson.
