Obituary

HARRIET ?RUBY? MEYER, age 84, of Worthington, died Friday, November 24, 2006, at the South Shore Care Center, in Worthington. She was born July 9, 1922, in rural Round Lake, to Clifford and Annetta (Moar) Ling. She attended country school in rural Round Lake. Ruby married Herman Meyer on April 29, 1939. After their marriage, the couple farmed in Sioux Valley until 1947 when they purchased a farm near Worthington. They farmed there until their retirement in 1979 when they moved to Green Valley, AZ. In 1989, they moved back to Worthington. She was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, in Worthington; and the Ladies Aid. Ruby enjoyed flowers, quilting & sewing. Ruby is survived by her husband, Herman Meyer, Worthington; five children and their spouses, Robert & Diana Meyer, Orlando, FL; Myron & Sandy Meyer, Worthington; Lyle & Deb Meyer, Worthington; Jane & Jim Malenke, Caledonia, WI; and Dale & Ann Meyer, Shakopee; fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Marge Slone, Minneapolis; and Mayme (Ralph) Smith-Kilker, Worthington; and a brother, Marvin (Penny) Ling, Franklin, OH. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marcille Farrow, in August of 2004.
